Trying to install windshield trim on my 66 Malibu. I can't get the trim to snap under the new clips. Tried bending one out a little and still won't snap in. The new clips look a tiny bit shorter than the remaining original clips. Anyone know where to get clips that are the same as the originals? Anything else to try?

Thanks

AMK has the kits you need. The front are different from the back. The front actually uses two different types. The ones along the A pillar are different from the upper and lower.

The set part numbers from AMK are:

Front G-6543
Rear G-6547

It helps to have a 90 degree pick to get under the trim and pull out the clips as you push the trim down.

It helps to have a windshield molding tool to put them on also,
You can open up the clip from the body as you push down on the molding.

Well it turns out the kit I got marked "Windshield" fit the rear window. The ones marked "Rear Window" don't fit anything. I ordered a set for the front from AMK. We'll see if they are correct.

Thanks
