I've read several post regarding these. Most are old, so I'm looking for any current users before I buy one. It's the Tamraz SS bumper pad on ebay that uses sticky tape instead of glue. Any feedback on these?

I just posted this quiestion less than 2 weeks ago. use the 3-M tape mentioned in the post. wipe the bumper and the pad down with some paint prep or laquer thinner. apply the tape to the pad and stick it. we did some margin lines in masking tape to get it straight. Norman:yes:

I'm also interested in whether anyone has seen, or is using one of these to get comments on how authentic looking the SS letters and the white line are.

Sounds like the 3M tape technique works well.

Anyone?

Don,

you dug up an old one. LOL

I can not comment on "stick on" pad itself. But if you have a glue on type pad don't bother sending away for and using the glue. Use 3M's Automotive Acrylic "Plus" Attachment Tape #06384. Available at any autobody supply. I think I paid around $20 for a roll.

I used 3M Super weatherstrip adhesive (the black stuff) with the pad from Tamraz. I removed the original from the bumper and it's a good match. That was over 3 years ago.

Got one last week. Attached it today.

Looks awesome and could not have been ANY easier to attach!

My freshly rechromed bumper was already on the car as well.

For anyone interested in a replacement pad:

I researched this issue for a year and a half and I'm very satisfied with this result
