Will a power steering box off a 70 chevelle bolt right on my 67, in place of a non-power steering box? By just looking at it , I say yes! but, I want to make sure....Also, Can these steering boxes be rebuilt if they are a little worn out? (TIA)

The steering box from a 1970 should fit the 67, but the steering ratio is 20:1. Go for the G-car steering box from the 1980s, and look for a YA code. Contact Lee Manufacturing for the needed pieces like the inverted flare seats and flare nut, along with a steering coupler disc.

Get the 800 box with the rag joint attached!

Yes. I just bolted one from a '72 into our '67 the night before last. The only difference is the hole at the end of the pitman arm that goes over the stud on the...oh what's it called? Idler arm? Centerlink? Anyway, the hole that ISN'T attached to the steering box. This hole needs to be machined (enlarged) to fit the stud on that centerlink. The box also has four bolt holes, but you only need to use the three that the manual box uses. The extra hole is for big Chevs. It doesn't even line up with the frame so you couldn't drill a hole for it even if you wanted to.
