Do I have a jeep steering box?
I was reading about the upgrade and it says the quick ratio jeep box is three turns from wheel-to-wheel. I tested my car and I currently have three turns. Was the stock/original like that? Does that mean someone has already changed my steering box?

Does the box have O-ring or flare seat hose connections? A Jeep box will originally have O-ring and req's the Lee Mfg flare seat adapters in order to use the original style Chevelle PS hoses.

Number of turns lock-to-lock is a VERY poor way to identify a steering box.

Most boxes have internal stops, those for our '64--'72 A bodies do not. A fast-ratio, non-limited box may have the same turns lock-to-lock as a slow-ratio box with internal stops. Steering action will be VERY different.
