And by the way, there is NO SUCH THING as a SB or BB bell housing. Beginning with the very first Chevy V8 in 1955, all Chevy bell housings will bolt up to ANY Chevy V8 engine.

Looking for blow-proof steel bell housing for sbc.

What transmission are you running? I have a Lakewood that I installed in a '60 vette I had many years ago. It was only in the car for a month or so and then I put the original aluminum bellhousing back in the car. I did have to grind the flange a little to clear the headers. I'm half way across the country from you though.

I have a TKO 600 I’ll be using. I don’t mind a little wear and tear as long as it gets the job done.

I have the Lakewood from the T-bucket which our son destroyed.
