i have a 68 chevelle with a 498 big block with 14 to 1 compresion.i installed a set of hooker 2 1/8 super comp headers bought a csr starter and have issues with not fitting to good even after changing clock position of the starter.a local starter guy sold me a permanent magnet starter from a newer style chevyhavent fired motor yet its new turned it over seems to crank fine will this starter be enough?or will there be problems and i should modify headers to fit csr model?thanks for any info,preston

Well if its in, and it cranks fine with the plugs in, should be cool, once it get warm, youll know for sure, just be sure to shield it good, heat and starters dont match on BBC
