Stamped number where oil pan bolts on ?

Been trying to find this answer ....
Curious got the best of me ...


Stamped number where oil pan bolts on , one number for each cylinder , what are these numbers ? Factory or from machine shop work ? 6 of the numbers are 10 and 2 are 9 .
