Here's my situation. I am changing my Malibu dash to an SS dash so I bought a set of used SS gauges for my 1971 Chevelle. Heres the problem, I noticed that there is some sort of blue plastic strip with lines running through it that was still hanging on to the back of the gauges but was all torn up and destroyed. I'm assuming that it has something to do with the lighting of the gauges. Bottom line,... how do I wire in the gauges for lights, and lighting when changing from a Malibu gauge cluster to a SS gauge cluster. Do I need that blue strip and if so how do I get another and wire it in???? Thanks for the help,...
