Man this has me frustrated! I am pretty good usually working on stuff. I can get at the cable from underneath, but there is a metal frame or something. I can only stick a finger in there and can feel where the metal on the cable starts where it would attach to the speedometer. I cant get my finger in enough to feel the clip. From up top, I removed dash pad, and a cover to the topof the speedometer where the lights for it are. But still cant get in to get cable.

I have a 72 chevelle sweep speedo. I can reach my hand up from underneath, but the cable goes thru what feels like a hole in something. I cant get my hand to the clip to let it loose. I have the dash pad removed, and no go from the top.
