Any one that can help me with the right plugs to start off with with my 454.. It's a 454 .030 over. Probe 18cc dome pistons, stock thumb rods and cast crank. Lunati 60203 cam. Air gap intake, holley 750dp and 049 heads with stock valves till now but bowl blending and flash cleaned up. Car has a th400 with freakshow 3000 convertor.. Compression is about 9.75-1.. I have no idea where to start and it may be ready to start in a couple weeks... Thanks in advance guys and gals. Also I have hooker comp headers:thumbsup:

The AR3924 are a .750 reach spark plug for aftermarket aluminum heads. They will not work, what you need is a .460 reach plug. I usually use NGK plugs and have worked great and seem to be pretty reasonable as well as readily available from most local parts houses. If its naturally aspirated look for something in the 4-5 heat range and stay away from the Iridium plugs ( too expensive and really meant for fuel injection ) NGK - 6630 $2.49 each from my local Napa Auto Parts. Hope this helps and good luck.:)

An NGK in the 4-5 range might be to hot for that combo. An iron head big block on the crappy pump gas these days with that compression and short cam will most likely detonate with that hot of a plug, I would start with nothing hotter than a 6 and a conservative timing curve.

I think i'm gonna wait on plugs till I get some more info now. Maybe a engine builder could chime in for me? This car has been 5 yrs for me to get to this point as this is a very low budget build..I'll just keep reading previous posts and see what I come up with.. Thanks a lot guys i appreciate all the help in advance..

That is a good starting point. You can try those or see if they can cross it to an NGK. That 44 is a medium heat range plug, I wouldn't go any hotter, that will probably cross to something around a 6 or 7 in an NGK which should be good.
