I have a 64 El Camino with 283(stock) 2blr carb and four speed. I was given a set of Autolite spark plugs that a guy said was for a 283 motor and I wanted to check before installing. the plugs are Autolite 75's is this the correct plug for this motor?

Bill, I don't know about the Autolite, but I am sure that the AC plug for your engine is an AC44. Call your local parts store and see if the Autolite 75 crosses over to an AC44.

mine has AC-45s - supposed to be stock per the parts store

The 45 is one heat range hotter, so that is probably right.
