Hello,

I have a '68 427 with Hooker Competition headers. I melt spark plug wires all the time. Is there anyone else who has a set up like this? If so what kind of plug wires do you use?

On my big block, I used Taylor wires with 135* boots with no problem. I just got MSD wires with those bend to fit boots, I don't expect any problems with them either.

These MSD 8.5MM wires & GM bowtie wire looms don'te even come close to melting on the headers:
