Looks like it's on page 3397 of the online catalog. Just check the temperature rating of the adhesive... some are a little low for a car interior (like a roof)
I've ordered lots of things from McMaster-Carr and all have been top quality. Also there return policy is excellent, so even you decide the material is not right (before installing), you're not stuck with it (other than shipping)

Don't know about McMaster Carr but after countless hours of research, and postings, and more research, including a loooong article comparing all the brands, RAAMAT is what's going in my car, no question. As good or better than Dynamat and much cheaper. Best value and best performance. Will be installing it in about 8 weeks after my car comes out of paint :hurray: Do a search here and you will find a link to the article.

Ya, for the price RAAMmat is the cheepest solution without having to use you own brew.

One manufacter called MFM makes a product called "Peel n Seal" for roofing of mobile homes. Suppose to be available at your local Lowes or HD, but in CA we don't have any. 100sq ft for $90. vs 100 sq ft of Dynamat @$300-400

Remember that the tar-paper type stuff used on homes has a good chance of turning to goo in high heat. They butyl type products (dynamat, Hushmat, etc) will not.
www.sounddeadenershowdown.com has a good review of some types, but not everything that's out there.
Hard for me to understand how roofing undermat would turn to goo. I sure the temps on the roof far exceed what the car may experience.

Bryan (AKA Bowtie-72) has it right and he gave the link to the long article I was talking about. I highly recommend the reading. the guy who did the tests is totally independant from what I couold tell and used his own money to buy the products. Sold me on RAAMAT for much less than the Dynamat and it is the butyl type. Read the article it will tell you all about it.

There's a company in Texas that sells a comparable product without adhesive backing- you'd need to use 3M trim adhesive or contact cement to install it. You'll like the price. lobucrod.com I believe. At least worth checking out.

Also possible odor when that material gets hot in summer, or just hot.

I bought some edead off ebay and I really like it. I paid 250.00 for 240 sq. ft. I got 120 and my dad got the other for his car. I did the doors and from the firewall all the way to the rear package tray and i have one roll left so I will use it in the trunk floor under the carpet.
