everyone else was getting their stuff done so i fig. i needed to step it up and make better progress-hit a few snags along the way, not unexpected, but still have to deal with it
anyway, its painted, back on the frame, engine/trans in
today i finished setting up the rear, pulled the old one out (used to roll the car) stuck the new one in, along with the new control arms, still gotta order the springs
i installed the PS box, steering col., installed the starter, made a brace for the back of it,
installed the headers (just got them back from the coaters Thur)
i test fit my drag radials, as i had cut down the rear 1" shorter than stock, looks like they will fit with the 8" rims, 4.5 BS (275/60)
all the brake lines are run, still gotta finish the gas pedal, i think i might throw the seat in to test how high to set the pedal before i cut the cable (nova pedal)
prob biggest hurdle now is the PS pump, a 65 must be narrower, as i only have 1/2" swing, seems like later years i never had a problem with BB/Procharger pump setup-the problen is i need a belt between 2 sizes, and they dont make one, ordered a diff brand to see what happens-worse comes to worse, i'll mill some of the lip off the pulley enough so it clears the crank pulley
trying to use the col shift for now, when i switch over to the 4L80E i'll let it do the shifting,
i think i may have to make a spacer to get a better shot to the trans
started on a design for my fresh air tube on the supercharger, i think it will work
next week i'll paint the front fenders, inner fenders, all the rest, 2 more weeks should be almost comp.

beautiful car Jim...of course that's not unusal for your builds....:thumbsup:...if I ever hit the lotto I'll make you sell that '69 to me....;)

yea, i have some pics of my 69, and i think a couple 70's i built, there was an old pic of my old C/MP Valiant from back in the day-i never fig. out how the showroom thing works, computers dont work very good for me, lol

Wow. Just beautiful. If you dont mind. What size motor and procharger? Did you send the carb to somebody to make it a blow thru? I would love to have a set up like that, but wouldnt even know where to start. The nitrous is fun, but has its problems.

Dam, that looks great! I see the clutch pedal there. Were you going to go manual transmission?

its a budget 496, cast Scat crank, truck thumb rods, forged 9-1 pistons-i built it for another car, but sold it, and i got a deal on the Procharger, so i added a blower cam-gonna run low boost, so it should be ok, i just like diff stuff under the hood, lol
i have had 10-15 Procharged cars, so i pretty much know what to do to the carbs, but for the serious stuff i have my buddy Kevin @ CSU build them-he can make them flow some fuel
right now i have my old swith pitch turbo 400 in it, but i mocked up a 4L80E in it so when i get around to building one, i'll swap it in-i have the wiring all in place for the Compushift trans controller, so it will be a simple swap-i went ahead and stuck 3.73's in it, so i'll prob have to add the 4L80E soon, keep the R's down on the highway-it just takes me a while to build a trans, pretty time cons. since i dont do it that off.
trying to finish it up in time for the Ocean City cruise in May, so i find myself taking some short cuts, you know, stuff you say you will fix later, lol
