everyone else was getting their stuff done so i fig. i needed to step it up and make better progress-hit a few snags along the way, not unexpected, but still have to deal with it
anyway, its painted, back on the frame, engine/trans in
today i finished setting up the rear, pulled the old one out (used to roll the car) stuck the new one in, along with the new control arms, still gotta order the springs
i installed the PS box, steering col., installed the starter, made a brace for the back of it,
installed the headers (just got them back from the coaters Thur)
i test fit my drag radials, as i had cut down the rear 1" shorter than stock, looks like they will fit with the 8" rims, 4.5 BS (275/60)
all the brake lines are run, still gotta finish the gas pedal, i think i might throw the seat in to test how high to set the pedal before i cut the cable (nova pedal)
prob biggest hurdle now is the PS pump, a 65 must be narrower, as i only have 1/2" swing, seems like later years i never had a problem with BB/Procharger pump setup-the problen is i need a belt between 2 sizes, and they dont make one, ordered a diff brand to see what happens-worse comes to worse, i'll mill some of the lip off the pulley enough so it clears the crank pulley
trying to use the col shift for now, when i switch over to the 4L80E i'll let it do the shifting,
i think i may have to make a spacer to get a better shot to the trans
started on a design for my fresh air tube on the supercharger, i think it will work
next week i'll paint the front fenders, inner fenders, all the rest, 2 more weeks should be almost comp.
