Just sold my 72 to a young man from New Jersey. He and his father drove it home, 312 miles, yesterday. He seems very happy. The bad news is I took a loss on the car. The good news is another young Chevelle brother is born. Seemed like a really great kid and his family seemed the reason. Really nice people. I gave him the ACES and Team Chevelle info. Hopefully he comes onboard. I have a friend that wants me to buy a 69 from him that needs "put together". After I pay the bills and store a little I might have to consider it. If I bring it home I'll be sure to post pics and progress as it goes. Time will tell.;)

care to say what you got for it, may help some of the rest of us wanting to sell a 72. We will know what the base line is. I was thinking about asking 10K for my 72 Heavy Chevy, but I doubt it will sell for anything close to that from what I have seen on e-bay.

I would hope you would get almost double that for your car, it is a real H.C., you just did a complete resto on her, but I know now a days, things are tough all over.

14.5k, does that count your labor too? I think too many of us forget the labor. Even at minimum wage it would add up fast. I just don't see a way to do one of these cars and come out ahead anymore. But, it is a nice hobby and gets one out of the house, that has to be a bonus.

I paid 14 for the car. I put another 500 in it in parts, no labor figured in. I did alot of panel alignment and detailing mostly. Installed an ac delete box, painted the firewall, new headliner, fender braces, clay bar and wax, etc. Also new fluids, and fixed the radio.I only had it 2 months. If I buy the 69 it will be an 8 month project. I might have to figure labor but as stated it is a hobby and it's hard to put a price on something you love to do.

Labor figured in or not, A car will only bring so much (especially now days) I think you might have paid too much for it, How long did you have it? I usually figure I made out pretty good if I break even on parts W/O labor - It is a hobby I guess.
