That brings back memories. I am a locomotive engineer. I used to work plow work trains from time to time. They have not been used that often for the past ten-fifteen years or so. A self propelled machine called a broom is usually used, or occassionally a locomotive propelled machine called a spreader. Most plows are scrapped or in railway museums. It was quite a rush as you could not see anything when plowing. You went by the instuctions of the plow foreman riding in the raised cab of the plow. I got stuck once in wet, melting snow that was as deep as the windows of the locomotives. We were able to reverse and get another run at it. Usually if you had enough speed no snow bank could stop you. Pretty cool clips.
