I have used the wiper motor wire for the electric choke on my son's chevelle, I was told that this wire will burn the choke out if he uses the accessory mode for any length of time. I know he will be using this for his stereo system, so here is the question.

Can I use a simple manual toggle switch to stop the current to the choke when the accessory is on? If so, how do I hook the switch up? Do I just splice the switch into the wire going to the choke?

thanks..........bk

Yes and Yes.

Double check to see if the wipers work in the accessory position. If not, it's OK because they're not getting power.
