wish to thank the chevelle lovers for thier response to my dilemma. hope to find the flasher when it stops raining so I can take the car out of the garage
The flasher is the silver thing about an inch in diameter sticking out of the fuse box. If your car had factory 4 way flashers ther will be 2 of them. A burned out bulb will also keep the turn signal from flashing.

I don't know what car you have, as you haven't specified, but on my 70 the flasher attatched to the fuse panel controls the hazards. the second flasher is located up behind the dash, almost directly behind where the radio should go. It is on a long lead with thick purple and pink wires, IINM.
