I have a '72 Malibu I am restoring and it has chrome side mirrors on both sides, all the pictures I see show the cars with only the driver side mirror and most of them are painted not chrome. Is the malibu I have a luxury edition? Just curious

Were those optional sport mirrors available on 1970 chevelles? I know that I have seen them on 1972 chevelles. I bought a set for my 70, but I am not putting them on because I haven't been able to find anything that supports the bullet style sport mirrors as an option in 1970. Also, do you notice on that picture that is linked above, that the mirrors are attached to the side of the door and not on the rail, like the chrome mirrors are. I think all nova and chevelle bullet mirrors attached to the top rail of the door. those mirrors look like they are off of a '73-77 monte carlo or something.

Because of the mounting position I think they could even be off the 78 and newer A or G body. They look like the same ones I have on a 79 Turbo Regal.

The later model sport mirrors look the same, but the base has a different angle to them, so they don't fit right unless they are correct for the year application. Only 71/72 had the option available, not 1970.
