I guess i should feel lucky that mine already have a JAP set in them but I don't care for them. has anyone found a set that are readily availble in black that work good in these cars. I mess with a lot of 73-87 chevy trucks but black is impossible to find and dark charcoal is next to that . thanx , DAVE

I don't know either, they were in the car . they say 'made in japan' hence JAP. DAVE

Take a look at Chad Landry's car here. He just put in new shoulder belts that are a newer 3pt style.

I used a set of 82 El Camino shoulder belts in my 65. I had to make an adapter plate at the bottom rear corners for the retractor to mount, but they are an excellent fit.
