Make sure exactly what it is. They lowered the compression in the crate LS-6s but I don't know about the LS-7s.
Should I pass up this motor???
Im building a 69 Chevelle street car. Looking for a motor until I came up on a LS7 454 GM crate motor brand new (0 miles) still in crate, purchased in the late 80's.
The price is a little more than its retail back then, but reasonable.
The person is asking $5,000. . . .
My concern is the power, can it run on pump gas, & is the compression too high !
