Hi, I have a 72 and am new to getting it to hook up. I have BFG radial TAs 275 60 15s on it now and auto trans with 3200 stall maby 450 RWHP I am looking for some tips on chassies modifications that will help out. Looking at jegs jegsters lower control arms. jegs says they help, they call them traction bars but they seem to be lower control bars that mount lower on the rear end with supplied relocators. you adjust them to angle the pig to 1 1/2 degrees form the motor. Thanks for the help!

Those are the same as SSM lift bars... do a search on here for "lift bars" and read the many comments about them.

I have them. I have no wheelhop problems at all, I can't really comment on whether traction was improved though...

I have Lakewood Ladder bars on my 70 SS Chevelle with 50/50 rear shocks. It used to hook up good with my race motor . It ran low 11's. I am restoring the car now and am looking for lower control arms with a sway bar. Mine got lost thru the years. maybe we can work something out.
