Did a search and couldn't find an answer. I have a 66 stock 396/325 without gauges in the speedo cluster. I added a triple gauge (temp/v/oil) set under the dash and installed the temp sending unit in the intake manifold near the tstat housing. The green wire in the engine harness for the temperature idiot light is just laying on the intake manifold now. I would like to hook up the temp idiot light because I would like to be alterted with the light if the engine gets hot. Is there an alternative place on my engine to install a temperature sending unit for the idiot light. My heads don't seem to have a place for this. Thanks in advance, Wayne

Not on a 66. They didn't start adding it to the heads until about 69, I think. The best you could do is put in a tstat housing that is threaded for a sending unit.
