ok. got my car back from the shop and the seats are not centred. WTF?!!!!

i know the seats were a little narrower, but this is retarded. they told me that they would have to cut out floorpan and there was something there that was for body structure so they didn't want to cut there.

is there anyway to get narrower seats to line up with the bucket seats holes.

i'm thinking moving the mounting points on the seats with a welded on custom adaptor.

any thoughts?

Was this a bench to bucket conversion or was this previously a bucket seat car or had it at one time ben a bench seat car? On the conversion its not as simple as it seems. You only use the the back rear corner and have to relocate all the rest of the holes. That was driving me crazy also if that is what it is.

it was both, initially it had buckets, then when i got it, it had a bench. now i put it back to buckets.

right now the seat is off about a inch or 2, not blatant, but enought to notice.

im pissed.
I think you need to go back to square one and do a little research. Who knows if when you got it, the buckets were properly installed. The back rear outside mounting hole should be the starting point and then the brackets will have to be tack welded in to make it correct and square like they should be. If someone gaffed the whole deal in the begining that's probably where your problem lies.
