Looking to put some nicer seats in my Monte than the typical plastic racing seats.

Don't want to sepend more than $200 each but need the 5-way harness capability. Pics ? suggestions ?

Jegs has what seems to be a decent set of seats, but can't tell if they are 5-way compatible, of course the description doesn't say if it is or isn't.

Tom , Pro Car makes a race seat that is a recliner for about that. They are high back and more of a modern look , wich may not look the best.
I think Summit has them for $189 plus shiping.

Yes, but how does the submarine belt go through the seat? or does it just slip through the split in the seat?

Tom- I have not used the seats, I just noticed them when looking at the Kirkey's . I am not sure exactly how you could do the crotch belt. I was thinking it could be bolted just under the front of the seat ?

I bought a pair of these for the chevelle. and for 150 a seat, they worked out pretty nice. And they do accommodate a 5 point harness.

Tom,at this point I guess all we can do is when you find a product that you like then call and find out where it's made. I checked Scats site and they made no mention of it being American made,so I called them and asked where the ProCar seats were manufactured and they said Malaysia. If everyone would at least try to find an American made version of the part they need it would have to help. As long as manufacturers see no backlash from the American consumer their just going to continue moving things overseas.

LOL... The ones I bought are the first ones at the top of the page. They fit perfect, the center counsel even fits between the seats. they are about the same size as a normal racing seat.

So buying American made is interfering with your retirement plan. Thats an excuse I hadn't heard yet. Ridiculous..but original. When you're thru with your expensive education, which country do you plan to make use of to amass your wealth? I'm sure it can't be in the USA,you wouldn't piss on Americans trying to eke out a living and then turn around and expect to make your fortune off of their backs would you...?

no, you are right. it is downright hilarious...that you insist on blaming Malaysia or whoever, instead of blaming the Harleys, and Chryslers and Zeniths that produced substandard offerings, with a substandard warranty, and charged a premium price...all in the name of profitability. remember, once bitten, twice shy.
