Seat mounting holes need a picture - 70 Chevelle

Here's the deal, When I bought my 70 they had some 73-up style buckets in it (and not installed very well I might add - holes drilled through.) I have a set of correct buckets for it and I need to know where the 1 original hole is from the bench that I am to use to get the correct location. Is it a rear hole or a front hole? Anyone have a picture of where it is located? They have some sort of sound deading material smeared all over the floor and I would like to know where to "dig" for the hole.

Thanks.

Not sure if this will help.. Here is a pic of the correct locations for the bucket Seat Mounting points.

Thanks, That will help. Does anyone know if any of the mounting points are the same as the bench seat? I thoughy one of the outer set were but not sure if it's the front or back.

If I remember right, both the front and rear holes should line up with the outer portion of the seat bracket. The inside holes I had to tack weld a strap for the inner front and rear holes and I think the front end had a stud sticking up that you bolt the seat to. It's been a while but I'm pretty sure that's what I did.
I found the rear holes, I will keep looking for the front. Can anyone verify that the outer bucket holes & the bench holes are the same?

Thx.

I remember the outer bench seat and bucket seat holes lined up, I don't think there is an inner hole, hence the bracket I had to tach weld with the studs pointing up or a bolt hole in the top section to accept a bolt. These 2 brackets I installed were not homemade items, they were necessary to install 70 buckets correctly. Maybe your getting thrown off here because the last guy just drilled holes and bolted the other seats in. I'm sure someone will have a 70 picture soon for you as my car is an hour away from me right now and I can't get a picture. If you look closely at F1's last picture you can see what looks like the 2 inner brackets running on each side of the driveshaft tunnel and the front portion is elevated to level the seat.
The outer rear hole is the same for bench and bucket and a bolt goes down into the the cross member. There is a small riser bracket for the front outer and a long strip for the inners. I believe these three corners have threaded studs and nuts. These pieces have to be welded to the floor. You can see this stuff in the photos in the previous post. The shots are also good for showing the layout of the deadener and I'm about to install it in our el Camino. Thanks.
If you use both outer bench seat holes your seatbelt plastic housing will hit your lower seat skirt. The front hole is not the same as the bench. Like the last guy said you need to weld in a small bracket.
The little front outboard bracket is something like 3/4" high to match the inboard piece. This raises the front of the bucket seat slightly for the right attitude. You can buy these brackets from the aftermarket as reproductions.
I got digging around and my floor is pretty rough. I thought there was a place that had a 1 piece floor with the seat mounts already installed? Anyone know what company markets this? I found one on e-bay but it does not mention the mfg. I would like to order it locally if I know who makes it.

Thx.
