Wondering if anyone has purchased this outside mirror for their 67/66 Chevelle, NPD p/n C-10185-1B ? The mirror looks great, but something about the glass mirror surface. It gives a distorted view, unlke my old mirror. Seems the glass/mirror may be slightly convex, or concave, as the further away something is in the mirror, the more distorted it gets. Sorta like double-vision. I wear glasses, but can't imagine that is the problem; old mirror was fine. I returned this to NPD for another, but the replacement is the same. I thought of swapping the glass/mirror from my old mirror, as they both have snap rings, but am afraid there may be an adhesive behind it.

Scott Drake sells the 66-67 style mirror with a flat glass, OR with a convex glass. Sounds like you got the convex one. If that's not what you ordered, I'd call NPD and try to swap out.

And I agree, the chrome part of the Drake mirror is by far the nicest repro 66-67 mirror I have seen.

I got one of each Jeff. Returned it once, but the second one they sent is the same. It definitly is not as convex as the one on the passenger side, but it's just not right. Hard to describe what's wrong with it. As far as the convex mirror on the pass side, it's better than having nothing, but is really too small. Note that new cars with the convex mirrors, are larger, with an oval or rectangular surface.
