I am building a 10.5 to 1 496 bbc, going in a street/strip car,my question is should I go with the scat pro comp I-beams with 7/16 cap screws or the old faithful eagle h-beams.I just can't find many testimonials about the scat I beams in a bbc.The motor I am building should make around 675 h.p. @ 6800rpm I don't plan on twisting it any higher than that.Any feedback would be appreciated.

Personally I'd run the Scat H beams. I prefer Scat over Eagle, and H beams over I beams at that price level.

What he said. The Scat H-beams are nice. 7/16" bolts. I recently used a set in a 540, they were dead nuts on, machining and weight.

Todd.
I only use Scat as a base rod or crank
I have to ask why you are comparing the Scat I beam to the Eagle H Beam though?
Why not the Scat H beam to the Eagle H beam?
I would use the Scat H beam for this between these three rods

If you don't have any of the parts yet you might PM or email me & I will be happy to see if I can't help you with this ;)
