I ordered a set of santhuff front springs and put them in tonight. They sent me the 225lb'ers for the front of my car and my car sits like a 4x4. I am 3" from the bumpstops and measure 31 1/4" to the center of the fenderlip. The front end weight of my car is 1980lbs. We were afraid that 200lb'ers would put me on the bump stops. What lb springs are u guys using? I'll have to call Ron today and go with a different rate I guess.

Did you leave the control arm bushings loose until you had the car sitting on the suspension? This can cause the bushings to wrapup and hold the car higher. They will tear if you drive it like that. Also it will drop at least a 1" when you drive it even it you left the bushings loose until on the ground.

The bushings should have never been loosened with the spring change so that should have nothing to do with it at this point.

I tried the 200 lbers from them in my 67 chevelle with a front end weight of 1920 and they went right to the bump stops. That said they may have worked if I knew then about the spring seat spacers that SCandC sells as that is what i had to do to the moroso's I put back in just recently. I would suspect with some rough calculations that the 200's will drop you down a little over 1" at the bump stop and 1.5-1.75 at the fender and they may settle a touch (.5" maybe) but I don't think the 200's are going to put you on the stop or any where close to it. These springs seem to be all over the map as to how they react in different cars, year models, and bushing arrangements. I put the 200's in my car and it crushed them while the 200's work perfectly in some later models with a touch more front end weight. I use super loose del-a-lum bushings which when I went from stock bushings to the del-a-lums years ago my moroso springs went right to the bump stops from sitting well off the bump stop.

Are these springs installed in the '83 Monte shown in your sig?
If so, are the Santhuffs the correct LENGTH for this application?? A 225 lb spring should be right for that front end weight.

According to Ron they are the correct spring height for the car. He is sending me a set of 200's to try. Very nice guy said I can just send the 225's back to him later.

I put in a set of 225 with a front end weight of 2050 this is with del alum bushings also. After a couple days they settled about 1/2 inch and now sit 1" 1/16 from the bumpstops.

is the tail end of the spring located properly in the spring pocket? That really doesn't look right. When I first saw that pic directly above I thought the jack was under it.

I'm running the 180's up front. The 225's are obviously way too stiff. You are always better to get a lighter spring and put in the rubber cup spacers if it sits too low. You'll like the 200's a lot better.

P.S. If the 200's are a little tall you could always opt for the 180's and put a 28" tire up front. ;)

Wow, and I thought my old Moroso's were tall buggers. Mine measure 16 1/4" after who knows how many years of use. My guess is around 6 years old. No telling how tall they were when new either.
The Morosos are very tall too. I have a brand new set of Moroso front springs sitting here in a box ( the place looks like a parts wharehouse  ). They're part#47200 and they measure 18 5/8" tall. Not sure if they're gonna end up being too heavy though. My car is pretty heavy, so that's why I bought their heaviest ones. But I have other new front springs installed in the car right now. Who knows? I might end up getting the Santhuffs in the longrun. I suppose I might as well have three sets of front suspension set-ups seeing is how I have three set-ups for the rear suspension, but that's another story anyway.
