Computers are just like anything else, if you want to get good it takes time, practice & patience. when i got my first computer all knew was point and click, then i started upgrading components, software and things. now i can pretty much build them.
for your MP3 player after you plug it in, click on "my computer" you should see it there, under "devices with removable storage". if it is there you can click on it and it will open up a folder and the song files should be shown, click on a song file and it should play with the appropriate media player.
