Here you go, video proof. The lochness monster and bigfoot rolled into one. Got some spare time so here are some pics of the rs600 transmission and kit. The pedals and speedo cable were delivered earlier and are already in the car. The 4 speed tunnel hump was sent inadvertently, as you see the shifter is in the center position. I will be doing a custom console in the near future and wanted the shifter there. I didn't get pictures of the documentation/instructions.

I thought the same thing. And the upper passenger side looks to be a @#$% to get a bolt in.
I think the only way to install the transmission is to first bolt the trans to the bellhousing and then install it on the engine together.

Hmmmmm
I wonder if they have these things that would fit in my Falcon with no floor mods.
Already have TKOs in the 59 and 66 Elkies

That sounds like a pain in the caboose. I wonder why it would be designed so bulky as to not be able to cleanly get bolts in all four corners.

BS to that nonsense! If that is the case, I'll install a stud in the BH and put a nut on it from the trans side.
Hopefully one of the Keisler folks see this and comments.

I don't know this for sure, but there are many videos on the Keisler website that show that exact process. I don't think a stud will help at all. There doesn't seem enough room for the stud to extend enough past the front plate and have enough room to have a nut go over the top. I am just making observations with no value judgments. It is what it is.

I have to do some funny things to install my Richmond because of the case design. It is what it is...

edit...Now that I look at it some more, maybe a bold can be inserted into the slot before the transmission is pushed into the bellhousing, and as the transmission is seated further into the bellhousing, the bolt would have to be snugged down simultaneously...

That may be the case and I could live with that. But doing the trans/BH as a unit for R&R..... I can't deal with that.

As for the slotted mounts
I would think that they are slotted to allow a bolt to get in there.
Not knowing how thick the flange is, all I can say is the bolt will need to be at least
1/2" longer than the thickness of the flange (bolt diameter)
Probably about 3/4" between the flange and the trans case. Can't really tell.
That slot would allow a bolt that is long enough to do the job to slip in the slot and drop in the hole.

l:)

Thank you for posting these photos and hanging in there with us!

The front plate is slotted to allow a bolt to be installed for bellhousing mounting. With the dimensions we had to work with this was the only method that would work. It requires the use of a wrench and is a bit unconventional but it does work well.
