Run it...when you burn some, fill it with fresh gas.....keep diluting it until 'old' gas is gone.

Sta-bil won't do any good after the fuel has already done whatever it does...

Best thing would be to add some lacquer thinner, acetone, or MEK to the gas. Just dump in a gallon. Make sure you don't let any get on the paint. ;)

Yes I kinda wondered about that ....... I think I have some acetone around .....I know I have some Kemco octane boost I use in my boat ......hmmm

Does gas really go that bad ??..........I really have never had a problem with "real gas " with no ethanol but sure did a couple years ago when I ran 94 blended crap ....never again what a PIA to get cleaned out from sitting along time

Pbly just cautious now that I use real gas .... have been using a storage additive last few seasons .my car runs rough enough on good gas :)

Bill,

There's been an awful lot written here about Stabil and other gasoline stabilizers and if you do a search, you'll see that there are a lot of guys who swear by it, guys who say that you're wasting your money and don't need to use it and guys who sit on the middle of the fence and say that they're not sure if it's needed but putting some in couldn't hurt.

I use it for peace of mind but I'd be the last one to tell anybody that they should use it. I don't think that you will have any issues at all and will be pleasantly surprised when it starts right up after you have primed your carburetor. I certainly wouldn't start adding anything to your tank at this point in time without ascertaining that you have an issue in the first place.

Honestly in 4 months you should be fine. I have 50 gallons of regular gas sitting in my motorhome since late september and it is running just fine and so is the generator.

My quad is also sitting with the same load of fuel and I started it this past weekend, it fired right off.

I don't think you'll have a problem sitting in the cold, I think it's more of a problem with stuff that sits over the summer when more evaporation takes place.
