I decided to put a Roll Bar in the Chevelle and I'd like to put it in the Camaro also. In my search for the easiest (to get in and out) and best type of door bars to install, I found a guy with this dropped door bar on a roll cage that is running 9's. This bar would be better than a swing out door bar and look better for sure. The bar doesn't really fit my interpretation of the NHRA rule but if you look in the second photo, you can see the certification tag on the bar. I'd hate to put this bar in though and it doesn't pass tech. What do you think??

I didn't think they were either until I ran across these. They are certed on that car, but will they pass everywhere???

The rule states: "Side-bar must be included on driver's side and must pass the driver at a point midway between the shoulder and elbow. Swing-out sidebar permitted."

I duno even if they are legal. I think they look a little odd like that. And its one of those things where if you had to use the bar(IE a crash) where would you want the bar to be at?

Sure its a little bit of a hassle to get in and out with a bar right there but hey better than what could happen ya know?
