You are fine, I run standard stamped rockers on my 327 with the XE274 cam and works fine.

Roller Rockers would take some pressure off the guides, but there not needed.

Just to add GM also made BBC long slot stamped steel rockers for use in hi perf apps with high lift over very roughly .550-.560 lift or so.

If you need new rockers and are buying stock type stapped steel rockers for a BBC you could just buy the long slot hi perf versons that can handle higher lifts so if you decide to upgrade to a higher lift cam later on your good to go.

i broke a stock stamped one with an xe268, but they wre not long slot.
i put long slop roller tipped rockers on from speedway motors. and worked great.
this motor has alum roller rockers, and they are super noisey, but then again, the bearings in the trunions needs to be replaced.
