Im putting my 307 back in and trying to keep the car mostly stock. Im adding duel exhaust and thought about putting a diffrent carb instead of the rochester since it needs rebuilding anyway. Are there other carbs that will bolt right on and have the linkage connect and hoses, etc that are aftermarket? If i decided to keep the stock carb, what would have been some reasons it had a really bad hesitation in it?

Seems like that hesitation is a common problem with the 2 bbl on 307s. Mine does the same even after a rebuild. I've talked to others that have experienced the same issues.
Aggravating for sure...and I'm interested in any answers to your questions...

Ive had 3 chevelles with 307's and they have all had hesitations with the rochesters. I rebuilt them also. Just figured there was another bolt on carb that was similar and more performance.
