Yes mister quiet in the background keeping the youngsters out front in the groove and in line.
He's with Keith moon and John Bonham now along with all the others in a super pop group somewhere.

The Stones had a unique sound with Charlie Watts drums and Bill Wyman's bass together providing the "driving rock beat" as its been described.Anyway you call it the drummer and bass are what keeps a rock band rocking. Charlie Watts was a good drummer in a great band and being the oldest member of the band,he probably kept it together when other bands were breaking up.RIP

Never did see them live but watched televised shows and they put on one heck of a show! R.I.P. Charlie, wonder if they'll get another drummer or retire the band and do solo projects? Or just retire, but I really don't think so

Saw the Rolling Stones at the Texas Motor Speedway in 1997. They had a bridge that extended from the main stage to about 20 feet from our seats. When Charlie threw his sticks into the crowd, they flew way over our heads because we were so close. Great drummer, RIP Charlie.

I was lucky to see the Stones in Chicago in 2019. What a show and what a band ! RIP Charlie !
Great pics!

My girlfriend at the time went to this:

I didn't like her taking drugs but she was on psilocybin. Because of that I didn't go..she said it was great until the Hells Angels thing...

Hands down my favorite rock band.
So powerful. The live band of all live bands .
Saw them 9 times.
A stones concert is just one of those things in life that no words or videos can do quite enough justice. You had to be there. Truly awesome.
Charlie was the backbone and the binder of the stones . RIP Charlie Watts 😢

We were super lucky to see them, because Mick needed some surgery and our concert was one of his first after the surgery. We thought he might have to take it easy, but he never stopped dancing and moving. The guy is in his 70’s and has an unbelievable energy level. Charlie has always been one of my favorite “stones”, but he’s just the opposite. He just calmly sits behind his drums and sets the tone for the rest of the group. Soldier’s Field was sold out, but we didn’t see a single person acting up, other than many enjoying their drinks a bit too much. Now I’m really glad we made the effort to go see them.
