180cc heads if you dont have 4.56 gears with your engine
Why use RHS over Dart? Dart is the premier cast iron cylinder head and makes more power in my opinion than any cast iron cylinder head out there
Dart 180 Iron Eagle heads would be killer on your car, rpm intake or Torker II and 750 double pumper, maybe deck heads a little to bump up compression
PS: It seems as if your more concerned about ET, If your gonna keep it N/A go with this cam:
Hyd FT, 244/252 @.050" .516/.525 106° lobe seperation
or
solid FT, 244/252 @.050" .518/.536 106° lobe seperation
With spray go with this solid lifter with 3.73's:
solid FT, 244/252 @.050" .518/.536 112° lobe seperation
My opinion is, i think with those KB pistons you have your compression will be good but your ring gap is probally not correct to run a NOS kit, you will probally end up with a melted down 327 as the rings will most likely butt and BOOM so be aware of the ring gaps before spraying {the ring gaps need to be .035" on the top rings to take that spray with KB hypers like you got, ask builder what the gaps are at}
Why not just put a solid roller in it when you put the darts on and run 11's N/A ? A good solid roller N/A cam for that engine will really wake it up
In my opinion, no matter what you go with you need 3,600-4,200rpm stall with 4.56 rear gears and that will "wake up" your present combo alone - take the money for the heads and buy a converter and change the rear gear to 4.56's and put your slicks on![]()
also, can i get away with pulling the converter without unbolting the trans and pushing it back?
yeah i figured lol. i was just trying to defy reality again. silly me.you will have to unbolt the trans and push it back. There is no other way to get the converter off the input shaft. What I have done before is just unbolt it and with a jack under it let it drop down enough to swap converters. It`s a pain but it can be done.
butch i have speed pro forged pistons PN: L2166NF30200cc heads if you have 4.56 gears with your engine
