Going to change the dash bezel on my 64. Want a stereo that fits without cutting and takes usb and has rca outputs so I can use a amp.

Looked at Custom autosound and Retro sound leaning to the Retro sound what else are avaible? and how good to they sound compared to a regular unit like pioneer?

Recently put in a Retro Sound, as Custom gets terrible reviews. Pretty happy with it. 9 out of 10 for looks and how it works with the OE dash. Maybe a 6 out of 10 on functions and sound compared to a similarly priced standard head unit. But, I fully expected it to not be as good as a standard Pioneer or Sony head unit so I am not disappointed at all.

X2 for Retrosound. I like mine for the '65. I went with the basic radio and 4" x 10" dash speaker, nothing fancy, just ball games, etc.

I would consider them. Also they were very helpful on the phone when I had my inevitable questions.

have a retro sound in my 67ss. I like it. kind of pricey but I bought it direct from them. Really like the flash drive.. ie. no skipping cd changer in the trunk. there are pre-outs to hook up 2 amps if desired but mine gets pretty loud and clear. loooks good in the dash and the remote is cool...
