If anyone out there has a 1971 Chevelle or El Camino, I have a problem with my relay for my a/c and heater blower. I just got the thing (El Camino) , and only 2 of the wires are connected. I have a chiltons, and a haynes, but they do not show what wires go where on the relay.... besides that, most of the colors in that darn book just don't match up anyway.
The resistor is marked 1-5 by the spade terminals, I just don't know what color wire goes where. If you could help, It would be great!

For me to describe the whole circuit for a 71 would be near impossible. The 71 is a little different and I've heard of a couple of different variations. The A/C schematic should be in the assembly maunual and I believe it is also in the separate wiring diagram. Manual is a better buy. One place to buy them (attached link) but ask if they are in there before you purchase either item.
The A/C wiring circuit is an add-on factory option and without the A/C schematic, you are right, the wiring is different than a non-A/C car.

Get the assembly manual. There are two or three variations of the wiring diagrams, and the A/C add-on is totally separate. If you want the real story, the assembly manual is the way to go.
