Got a console for my el camino. It came with the shifter handle but no shifter assy. I see ground up carries the shifter assy. Shifter, cable, brackets for 199. Has anyone used the repop shifters? Good bad etc? My friend bought one a few years ago, the stud that mounts the cable came off. Jim

Find a nice original. The repro are ok.

The plastic moving handle in my original broke and in the interest of time had to get a repro. It's not bad. If you have the time I'd also suggest looking for a decent original.

Jim, they are 7 repops from Ausleys. I got screwed out of the factory 65 shifter and I was grabbing straws for the 442. I'll get a pic tomorrow.
