going to replace the stock yolk with a 1350 yolk. im looking to cheat my way through this. not looking to pull the cover and drag a host of tools out the measure stuff. is there any easy way to do this and get it close to right? thanks Dave

I replaced mine on the '72 and I was told "zero lash" plus 1/4 turn. It's been fine for a while now. I did a few practice tries to ensure the pinion was pulled up all the way. Make sure you loctite the nut. Replacing the seal is probably a good idea while you have it apart also.
