repair or modification of lower axle mount to frame

i've got a slightly enlarged lower control arm hole at the drivers side frame mounting brackets.
i was chasing a weird vibration/oscillation;
this only happened while under hard acceleration with tires grabbing and slipping.
the inside end of the mounting bolt is tied into the brace attached to the upper control arm bolt.
the outer mounting point where bolt goes thru boxed section of frame is where it needs attention...
do i just cut the boxed area open and weld a reinforcement plate in;
and then close up the boxed area on the outer part of the frame??
anyone else have the same issues???

I had an enlarged hole on one side of my frame. I went to Granger to get a brass sleeve which is available in almost any O/D, I/D and length combo. Granger has a huge selection..look online you can mix and match the dimensions almost like designing your own part.

I got a bushing with an ID big enough to accommodate the next size bolt up from stock size but with the same or nearly the same OD as the original bushing. Drill the frame holes out to match the larger bolt shank O/D, press the bushing you buy into the control arm bushing and you are done with it.

Did this years and years ago on my right side lower ctrl arm and never looked at the issue again. You end up with a thinner wall on the sleeve but that has not shown to be an issue on my car. I got a sleeve with an I/D as close to the larger bolt shank as I could and I think I might have gone slightly over the stock bushing O/D to keep as much wall thickness as I could.
