I recently bought a 72 malibu chevelle. The rear end has some rust holes in it making the seats wet and moldy. I would like to know how to remove the rear seats.

Seat bottom Has two 'catches' one on either side- grab the front edge of the cushion and Push straight back toward the rear of the car(not down)- it should pop up- repeat on the other side.

Seat Back- There are two bolts(or should be) that attach at the base of it which would have been covered by the bottom cushion. Remove those-
This part also has two 'catches' on each side- Push the cusion inward(toward the back of the car), and at the same time lift upward- each catch should pop out and then lift up and out.

If the bottom seat wont come up by pushing real hard, push up the material in the front bottom about 8 inches from each side and you will seat what is holding the bottom seat down, you can simply take a screwdriver and pry against that latch made to the seat and it will come right out.
