I got my car painted a while ago and I am now putting the cowl induction together. Well, there's paint in the holes where you screw in the bolts and screws and they're terrible to get at. I'm leaving the hood on the car because it's lined up perfectly and I don't want to mess with it. What can I do to get these bolts and screws in? Thanks guys.

I painted my 70 and can tell you the best way to get this done is to pull the hood so you can get at it better. Get a fine line grease marker and mark the hood where it bolts to the hinges. This will get your realignment back to where it should be. These hoods are big and heavy so you'll need a minimum of 1 budy to help. 3 of you would be the best. Once you get it off you can use a q-tip with some paint lacquer thinner , or chase it with the correct size tap. I beleive it is a 1/4x24 size tap.
