Hey all,

I got my wife a remote starter for her 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now the the Jeep won't start by key or remote! Before it was installed, the thing ran like a top. When I try to start her up, it just turns over, it has spark, but no fuel!! The filter and pump are both ok, and it has a brand new battery. It seems like the remote starter is telling the computer not to deliver fuel? Is this a possibility? If not, what would you think the problem could be

Thank you

Brett

Yeah, either and error in the install instructions or by the installer. I've had one in my truck for 4 years. Works perfect everytime.

Re-check your installation then call them. They may be expecting your call if they know there is an error in the instructions.

I have in installed dozens of these things. It doesn’t look like the Jeep uses a ‘passlock’ or a ‘transducer’ for factory security. It is most likely the ignition 2 wire hooked up incorrectly. This might help http://www.designtech-intl.com/Content/techsupport/wirecolors/VehicleDetail?modelID=751 If it is a Bulldog unit there are some ‘revisions’ to the instruction that come with the unit. The revisions are on the website but the box that it comes with says nothing about it. - http://www.bulldogsecurity.com
