out with the kids and grandkids on my 72 trail 70. following my daughter down a dirt trail and all of the sudden the trail turns to powdery sand. I'm probably only doing 10mph but one minute your upright with the world, next minute im thinking dont bend the bars as im hitting the sand. luckily the bike didn't get damaged, jumped back on and rode back to camp. now its hard to even put on a seat belt with my right shoulder! nothing broke just tender. It didn't hurt like this when I was 20. so tomorrow im heading back out and do the smart thing and bring my 185s three wheeler. :) jim

I had that identical 3 wheeler when I was 16. I beat the ever living $hi+ out of that thing and it just shrugged its shoulders and kept running.

BTW, it can traverse about 30” of water if you stand on the back grab bar and let the front tire float. 😁

But three wheelers kill people that's why they were banned!

First rode one back in 1976 when I was a kid. Still have the 85 250R I bought shortly after the ban when sellers had trouble giving them away.

subday the shoulder felt worse. decided to stay home and do stuff to loosen it up. Pulled out my 185s project, new carb, chain brake cable. need to swap a tire and replace a vave stem on another but actually rode this frankentrike. 81 185s frame, 85 200s motor, 110 front axle and a lot of left over parts from other trikes. jim View attachment 702380

Nice! I affectionately call the 3 wheelers outlaw bikes since they banned them here after 1986 for being far more dangerous.

I had the 1986 Honda 250R in the 90s. Among the wildest ones. Essentially a Honda CR250's on steroids (same power plant with 4x the traction). Never dumped that bike. But have wrecked on its dual wheel counterpart more times than I care to remember lol.

Stay rubber side down.
