Rechroming 69 rear armrest ashtrays

I need to get my rear 1969 arm rest ashtrays rechormed. I called Paul’s Chrome and they told me the ashtrays would have to be disassembled to rechrome. I’m concerned with reassembly and getting the rivets correct. Has anyone rechromed ashtrays and if so where they disassembled and how did you reassemble them?

try Mr. g in texas. www.mrgusa.com their phone is 817-831-3501. go to "rechrome" on their website and they list all sorts of parts they do and the prices..they specialise in rechroming plastic parts.good luck!-
