Got the block, cam, heads, etc... All I need are rings (stock GMPP pistons standard size), Main bearings (standard), Rod bearings (standard), and overhaul gasket kit. I usually buy my stuff from Summit, any suggestions on a quality manufacture or even the summit part numbers?

Ok, The scan is GMPP's part numbers for the 454HO, if you have the original head bolts you will want to toss them as they are not re-useable ,I purchased ARP's from Summit #ARP-135-3601
Hope this helps you out, BTW Nice ride

They are not torque to yield, As per GM Service Information for techs "Remove and Discard Cylinder Head Bolts" this would be for the Gen V and Gen VI engine and if I remember correctly the L31 R engine also

You are going to want to use a teflon thread sealant on the threads also as the threads go into the coolant passage
There are few informative book's available for the Gen V & VI B.B. Chevy, the one I have is out of print so the price is out of control, here is a good one for under $20
Amazon.com: How to Rebuild Big-Block Chevy Engines, 1991-2000 Gen V & Gen VI HP1550: Disassembly, Reconditioning and Final Assembly for Chevy Gen V and Gen VI Big-Block Engines, 454 and 502 cid (9781557885500): Mike Mavrigian: Books
