Just bought a 1970 Wagon Saturday. Is it possible to make the power window a manual window like the Blazers. I believe the motor or the wiring is shot. Have not had a long time to look. Is there a way to get the window down without the motor. Thanks for the help.

to get the window down with out the motor you need to remove the inner pannel and unbolt the motor. it would be tough to convert it to manual with out changing tailgates. i would find good used parts to make it work correctly.

Thanks for the reply Pete. In case the motor is bad, what window motor will replace this one? Also, I need to replace the tailgate lock because I do not have the key for it. Do you know where I can get one?

well, i sell new locks with keys, but you might be able to take yours to gm to have it rekeyed. i tried several locksmiths and could not get anyone to figure out how to rekey those power lock cylinders. but they told me gm should be able to do it. if that is all that is wrong with it try that maybe or let me know. i also have the gasket that goes under it and a new polished stainless steel bezel to replace the pitted chrome one. i have not compleeted the motor swap i started. i have been told that the 80 blazer motors work , but i bought one and it is not even close, i was going to pull the casing all apart and try swapping just the interanal motor parts to see if that works, but i got too busy with a million other things.

Thanks for the info. It looks like Autozone and O'Reilys has the motor for the rear window, I may give that a shot. I will keep you informed.

thats what i got. i dont think it will fit without changing the housing. but please let me know.
