On a 1970 Chevelle with an AM/8-track stereo, where do the rear stereo speaker wires pass through the metal rear panel behind the rear seat and into the trunk to connect with the speakers on the package tray? I can't find the answer in the assembly manual and couldn't turn up an answer by searching the Electrical & Wiring forum. I know from the factory hold-down tape that the wires enter on the passenger side of the separation panel, but don't know which hole they go through. (There's a rectangular hole with rounded over edges at the bottom of the separation panel on the passenger side, which would make sense to prevent the wires from being cut, but I have not seen a Chevelle where you could see the wires running up the panel from inside the trunk.) Anyone have a photo or diagram showing the correction location? If not, would you please describe it. Thanks!
